Travelling on a Frecciabianca train
At a glance
- Regional train
Previously known as Eurostar Italia, Italy’s long-distance Frecce family of trains operated by Trenitalia comes in three flavours: Frecciabianca ('White Arrow'), Frecciargento ('Silver Arrow') and Frecciarossa ('Red Arrow'). Frecciabianca services are the lowest of the three grades of Frecce trains, but they are just as sweet in service and style as their Silver and Red Arrow counterparts. They have the most traditional rolling stock but their carriages have been refurbished to meet the highest modern standards.
Frecciabianca trains travel at a speed of up to 200 km/h and serve a wide network, connecting medium and large communities across Italy using traditional lines. Frequent services link Turin and Milan with Venice, a triple scoop of stunning cities to explore. Frecciabianca trains serve both coasts and give reliable and comfortable express services to many cities at the extremities of Italy’s rail network: Trieste, Taranto, Lecce, Bari and Reggio di Calabria.
Comfort, safety and style are hallmarks of Trenitalia's train fleet, including Frecciabianca trains.
