Frecciarossa trains also run on the line from Milan to Venice via Verona, as well as operating direct services between Turin and Lecce, offering dramatically reduced journey times on this route.

Classes of service
Trenitalia’s Frecciarossa trains provide four classes of outstanding service: Standard Class, Premium Class, First Class and Executive Class.
Frecciarossa Executive Class
Frecciarossa’s Executive Class caters for those who only reluctantly leave their private jet at home. Each carriage has ten large, reclining champagne-coloured leather armchairs equipped with a backrest and footrest, meeting the comfort needs of every single Executive Class passenger. These seats also rotate 180 degrees, so passengers can face their desired travel direction.
The fare includes a complimentary meal and hot or cold drinks served by the steward. Executive Class travellers have a choice of three different menus offering a main dish, a snack, a dessert and a mini bottle of water. All food onboard Frecciarossa trains is made from fresh, Italian produce.
Frecciarossa 1000 trains also provide a meeting room in Executive Class where travellers can work alongside their travelling co-workers in peace and privacy. The meeting room is equipped with five seats and a large colour monitor that can be hooked up to a computer for presentations.
Executive Class travellers can access Frecciaclub lounges and then be greeted like royalty by staff on the platform before departure.
Frecciarossa First Class
As a First Class Frecciarossa customer (called Business Class), you’ll be welcomed by train staff on the platform. Frosted partitions between each group of wide leather seats enhance your privacy. Reclining backrests ensure maximum comfort while travelling in Business Class.
Opt for the quiet zone (‘Silenzio’) for extra calm on your journey.
From Sunday to Friday, Trenitalia offers Business customers a complimentary welcome drink, snack and newspaper.
An onboard meal comes with the fare. There are three menus to choose from as part of the First Class catering service, offering a main dish, a snack, a dessert and a mini bottle of water. Trenitalia's onboard catering is characterised by fresh, Italian ingredients.
Discretion and style are the hallmarks of this premium product which is aimed fair and square at the business market.
Frecciarossa Premium Class
Legroom is the same as in Standard Class, but you have reclining leather seats in Premium Class on Frecciarossa trains. You are also served a complimentary hot or cold drink or a glass of Prosecco. Premium Class is a sort of higher grade of Standard Class (modelled in some measure on many airlines’ Premium Economy Class). There is plenty of room for luggage under or above your seats.
From Sunday to Friday Trenitalia offers Premium customers a welcome service, which includes a complimentary snack and soft drink, as well as a newspaper on morning services.
Frecciarossa Standard Class
Standard Class on Frecciarossa trains is a cut above normal Second Class accommodation with plenty of luggage space and a four-seat arrangement around a table. Peak-time services on the core stretch between Milan and Rome can be crowded. With the fastest trains taking less than 3 hrs, rail now beats air travel on this route.
On Frecciarossa trains, Standard Class passengers can purchase food and drinks from Trenitalia's Easyfood service, which offers a wide selection of meals to enjoy at your seat. Opt for the Viva la Mamma Box from the menu for a fresh pasta main course. Easyfood orders can be booked online before boarding or bought once onboard.
Alternatively, Standard Class passengers can enjoy a bite to eat from the café-bar counter, FrecciaBistrò, where coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, desserts and additional snacks are available.
