Travelling on a Frecciabianca train

Previously known as Eurostar Italia, Italy’s long-distance Frecce family of trains operated by Trenitalia comes in three flavours: Frecciabianca, Frecciargento and Frecciarossa. Frecciabianca services are the lowest of the three grades of Frecce trains. They have the most traditional rolling stock. The carriages have been refurbished to meet demanding modern standards. Seat reservation is obligatory and included in the ticket price.

Frecciabianca trains serve a wide network, connecting medium and large communities using traditional lines. Frequent services link Turin and Milan with Venice. Frecciabianca trains serve both coasts and give reliable express services to many cities at the extremities of Italy’s rail network: Trieste, Taranto, Lecce, Bari and Reggio di Calabria.

Air-conditioned open-plan carriages with comfortable seats and spacious room for luggage are the hallmark of Frecciabianca trains. Each train has at least a trolley service for purchasing snacks and refreshments.

Child and youth passengers

The definition of "Child" and "Youth" varies by country and operator. This is why we ask for the age of young passengers.

Sometimes children below a certain age can travel without a seat for free. If you want to guarantee a seat for child passengers, enter '6' as the age of the child.
