In early 2016, Frecciarossa made their debut on the line from Milan to Venice via Verona. In late 2018, Frecciarossa trains started operating direct services between Turin and Lecce offering dramatically reduced journey times on this route.
Trenitalia’s Frecciarossa trains provide four classes of service. Expect air-conditioned, open-plan carriages with comfortable seats and spacious room for luggage. Electrical sockets are available at each seat and trains convey a full-service restaurant and a buffet for lighter snacks and refreshments. A seat reservation is obligatory and is included in the price of your ticket.
